A275
This is what might be called a micro-project. And my hope is that anyone who sees this will be inspired to do the same micro-project to help them make some time to connect with nature. I made all of these images in less than an hour, less than 500 metres from my front door. Despite the appearances of these images, I do not live in the wilderness. I live in a town. All the images were made alongside roads, in the overgrown verges, mostly of the A275. This project will be more difficult to do in a city, but it is possible - nature does exist in the underused parts of the city, especially in what some people are calling the 'edgelands'.
I hope this inspires you to get out and about with whatever camera you have, even if it is just the camera on your phone. And that you are able to look for and document the wildlife in the gaps in our developed world that are unused by humans and filled by the rest of nature. If you do it, remember to stay safe, and I'd love to see what you shoot.
